HOW TO ACHIEVE MUSICAL MASTERY

It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or if you’ve been singing and playing piano (any instrument) for years; it’s always about your mindset and desire for continuous learning. You might have great musical abilities, but the most successful people in the industry know there is always room for improvement. Every great singer or pianist has a desire to master their craft.

In the beginning you are like a sponge wanting to understand and learn everything you can. But then you reach a plateau and things begin to get more difficult, this is where you need to push through. If you’ve ever tried to lose weight and you reach a plateau where you feel like giving up. What happens if you don’t? If you keep moving forward and working through it, you will eventually come out on the other side and have accomplished you goal. It’s a mindset of not giving up and knowing you can work through any difficulty. Others have done it, why can’t you!

Musical mastery is all about continuous learning. Great singers and musicians are confident in their abilities, yet they know and acknowledge that there is always room for improvement. The higher you go, it isn’t about competition and who’s better, it’s about a greater understanding, mastery, and creating your own personal sound; it’s your own personal journey. No matter where you are with singing or playing piano (or any instrument), there is always room for improvement. Great singers and musicians don’t treat music like a weekend hobby, practice isn’t something they dread. Enjoy your practice time, make it fun and entertaining for yourself; never stop learning or working to get better.

JOKE FOR THE DAY:

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 3 am. Can you believe it?

Luckily, I was still up playing the drums!
